Need Help doing a Hook Shot !!!

I need help doing a hook shot..

I tried to follow this:

Post Package Shot - Hook
Post up a defender by pulling L1, Move the RS towards the basket to perform a Hook Shot.

But it won't do it...

it depends on the position and the ryt analog to be used...


you should try it in practice so you could be more familiar..

I could only do hook shots less than 6 ft from the basket, is it possible to do a hook shot farther than this?

yeah, sometimes you can do hook shot almost in the three 3 point line(from the side, while not facing the basket)

^That's irritating because when I'm developing my players in development, when I get the perfect position sometime my player will make a hook shot.
