Need help with created players

Hi everyone! Just joined today. Good to see some love for 2K9 on the PS2. The problem is that my created players never score more than 8 ppg during a season. When i look at the box score they never take more than 6 shots, an somtimes they don't shoot at all. Is there any way i can make my created players shoot more?

Yes you can..

This is how you do it..

Load your rosters up.
Go to options > Manage Roster > Team Rosters > find your created player in whichever team hes in > edit player... > player attributers

go all the way down to the bottom and you find playing time..

edit and change it to 15 minutes or whatever..

now he will score more in association/season games when you simulate

I increased the playing time to 40 min and most of the players play 40+ mininutes and still only take about 5-8 shots.

Did you begin a new association/season?
Or did you just continue with your current one?

After i changed their minutes i started a new association mode.

Maybe try to reduce the other player's playing time specially the starters so that they will have more chance to play.

Increase the shot tendencies.

Most of my player have there shot tendencies are in the 70s and 80s. should i increase them even higher?:

What sucks here is that the playing time can only be adjusted in the main menu.

If you're in midseason, and you trade some players (ie. Iverson and Billups), they end up with zero playing time.

Im not 100% sure in association mode though. Can anybody verify ?

I think they only have 0 playing time when they're playing against you. When you simulate or dont play them or w/e they have normal playing time.

edit their tendicies as well like if u hod to creat derick rose u can edit his tendices 2 ware he can score what he scores in real life

When I create a player and start Association mode,they have F potential.Why?????!!!!

I`ve started association with Lakers and i`m impressed!!!!I played one season and vujacic&farmar`s rating grew to 92!!!!I was putting vujacic or farmar in start. lineup every game,and this is the result!!!!
Also,if you let computer choose your rookies,he will find player with A potential!!!!!!!!
