Your 2K9 Impressions.

Here you can post you mini reviews or what you just generally think about this year's game for the PS2 and rate the game too.

I'm very disappointed with the game because I saw no change or added features.

But its still a solid game like last year so I can't complain about it game wise perhaps its a bad thing too but not for a dying console.

I rate it a good game.

I think it needs improvement...

Pretty much nothing was added from the previous title.
Gameplay is the same.. just a different shooting style and players actually get fooled by crossovers now.
Gameplay is still unrealistic and layup glitch has not been fixed.
Player faces haven't even changed! Gasol is still a hairless cat and Chris Bosh doesn't even have a single strand of hair, infact he hasn't had one since 2006.

Oh well... it's still fun
and I'm still glad that this game was even released for the Playstation 2.
Otherwise I'd be stuck with NBA 2K8 and waste a whole week creating rookies like Michael Beasley, O.J Mayo, etc.

I don't know what I am going to do next year if 2K doesn't release NBA 2K10 for the PS2.
I don't have enough money.

I think the PS2 version is CRAP!!! So i upgraded temporarily to Pc then to Next-Gen in a month. But i will still support this forum!

in Australia, i can't find the PC vers of 2k9 anywhere and may resort to buying online.

Pirated versions will do.

NBA 2K9 has no online features anyway...

If my Uncle will gives his PS3 to me... I'm really happy to have NBA 2k9...

But I'm still supporting this site.

I don't think I will ever own a XBox 360 or PLAYSTATION 3.

Cause I just got a PSP recently.

So I guess I'll be hosting this site until NBA gaming for the PS2 dies out..

Then I guess I'll try find a NBA PSP site and support that.

Cause there aren't any online roster updates for NBA Live 09 psp either.

^Gamefaqs have save file... you can download it, unzip then put on your PSP.

Those bootlegs don't have the Steam so you wont be able to download the Patch and updated rosters. I plan to get the genuine version just for that. Also to support 2K so they would release another one this year.

There are no online updates nor patches.
Even if there were, people with the retail copy will already have downloaded it and then just upload the files onto the internet for those with the pirated version to download and use.

Simple as that

The patch just came out recently for the PC. It contained big fixes and also a roster update. And its not downloadable if you have a pirated version because it does not have steam. And it can't also be uploaded because its not in a file update. My cousin has a pirated copy and have not found a way to get the patch.

Sorry I dont have the new PC yet but my cousin already have that roster in his NBA and its a great roster nonethless.


We've gone off topic now I think so back on topic.

I think one of the strengths of 2K9 PS2 is it's solid game play engine and great visuals even though it's 4 years old already. On the other hand what it lacked is proper support from the developers to update what need to be, the lack of Thunder and new players hairstyles/faces shows that.l

Maybe, they're too busy for the other games so they can't update PS2 version that much.
